It's the difference between showing up to school and staying home. Between playing with friends and sitting out. Between infection and protection.
At Heartwood Home Exteriors, we spend our days building things that last, decks, roofs, siding, windows. But the most lasting things we'll ever build aren't made of cedar or composite. They're the futures of the children our work can help.

Shoes for Bright Futures started the way most good things do around a kitchen table, with a question: what else can we do? We already pour everything into the homes we work on. But homes are only as strong as the families inside them, and families anywhere deserve to thrive.
So we're opening the doors of our shop as a collection point. Every pair you drop off, from well-loved sneakers to a brand-new box fresh off the shelf gets sorted, cleaned, and delivered into the hands of a child who needs them.
